Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn has been an American actor in film, TV and stage since the end of the 1970s. She has been a professional actor for the past 27 years. She started her professional career in the year 1990 with an off Broadway production of The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. The show was later adapted to her first television role, The Perfect Tribute. Her career launched when she was cast to play a role in the film Basic Instinct. The Firm is where she began her career as a female actor opposite Tom Cruise & Gene Hackman. Through the 90s Gwyneth was a co-star alongside Hugh Grant on Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews for Relative Values. She played the role of Dr. Alex Blake on the popular international police procedural thriller Criminal Minds.
